Philadelphia Eagles Named Beyond Sport Team Of The Year

The Philadelphia Eagles’ long-standing commitment to helping address social and environmental issues has earned the organization recognition as Sport Team of the Year by the international social change organization, Beyond Sport.

The Eagles, who had been named finalists for the global competition for the second year in a row, were announced as the winners during the awards ceremony in Cape Town, South Africa.

Sustainability Culture Saves Billions for DuPont

More than a decade ago, Dupont set a goal to decrease its annual energy consumption by 5 percent. Since then, Dupont has achieved a 19 percent decrease in consumption while increasing production by 20 percent. The documented costs savings over the period from 1990-2009 are $5 billion. At the same time the company achieved a 92 percent reduction in carcinogenic releases and a 77 percent reduction in TRI (EPA inventory) releases.

Qualcomm and X Prize Foundation Create New X Prize

The Sexton Company is very proud of our newest collaboration with Qualcomm and with the X Prize. The Sexton Company, working closely with Charity Brands, brought the parties together to create the Tricorder X Prize. The parties will award $10 million to the group that develops the first portable, wireless, minimally invasive, rapid, low-cost diagnostic tool able to diagnose patients better than, or equal to, a panel of board-certified physicians. Named by Qualcomm Chairman & CEO Paul Jacobs, the innovation will be the world’s first wireless medical diagnostic device that functions like the iconic Star Trek tricorder.
