In mid-2007, after spending most of his career in the entertainment business, Walden joined The Sexton Company. Immediately prior to joining the company, Matt was a strategic and creative consultant to Kyoto Planet, a Canadian based environmental investment and media group.

Walden has served as a consultant to and producer for numerous film, television and new media companies including the Fox Broadcasting Company, MTV, Dreamworks, NBC, Mandalay Entertainment, UPN, Paramount Pictures, Lifetime, E!, Gold Circle, FX, ABC, ABC Family, TLC, BET, BET Films, Court TV, David E. Before striking out on his own, Walden ran the West Coast business of legendary music industry icon Clive Davis’ Arista Records overseeing A & R, television and film production, marketing, soundtracks, and business development. During Matt’s three years at Arista, revenues nearly doubled and he enjoyed the great privilege of working on landmark projects including Santana’s “Supernatural,” British newcomer Dido’s breakout album, and four music-driven television specials including Arista’s 25th Anniversary Special on NBC for which he was Arista’s executive producer.

Prior to Arista, Matt served as Senior Vice President of Music at Fox for nine years where oversaw all music-related creative and business issues for the company. At Fox, he helped build and launch a number of Fox brands and businesses including the Fox Music Group, Fox Publishing, Fox Records, the Fox Network and Fox Sports, and oversaw the music for countless projects, including the feature films “Romeo + Juliet,” “Waiting To Exhale,” “For the Boys” and “White Men Can’t Jump,” and the hit television series “The Simpsons” and “The X-Files.” While at Fox, Daily Variety named Walden one of the “Top Ten Music Supervisors of the Decade”.

Walden was born and raised in New York. He received his B.A. from Drew University in 1980 and his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1983.
